Dugdhika (Euphorbia hirta) is a traditional Ayurvedic herb used for various ailments, including respiratory problems like asthma and bronchitis, skin conditions, gastrointestinal issues, and wound healing. It's particularly known for its use in treating piles with pain and bleeding and for its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties. The whole plant is used, with the juice or powder being common forms, but it can also be applied as a paste or in the form of tablets

      • Skin Issues: It's used to treat skin diseases, ringworm, warts, and boils. 
        • Conjunctivitis and Styes: Dugdhika is also applied to the eyes to treat conditions like conjunctivitis and styes. 
        Gastrointestinal and Anorectal Issues
          • Piles (Hemorrhoids): 
            It helps relieve the pain and bleeding associated with bowel movements and hemorrhoids. 
            • Constipation and Indigestion: 
              The herb is used to treat constipation, indigestion, and other digestive problems. 
            Other Uses
              • Wound Healing: It promotes the healing of inflamed skin and mucous membranes, including the wounded area in piles. 
                • Liver Health: Dugdhika can help cleanse the liver and improve its function. 
                  • Poisonous Conditions: It is traditionally used to treat snake bites and other types of poisoning. 
                  Forms and Dosage
                    • The whole plant is used, often in the form of leaf juice (10-20 drops) or powder (200-600 mg).
